Hotel Villa Carlotta - Firenze

Stille og rolig belliggende, koselig uteplass/hage.

For de som kommer med bil så er det litt vanskelig/trangt å parkere.

Nice comfortable Hotel within walking distance of Florence. Stayed 2 nights here as part of overall touring Holiday in Tuscany. We needed a Hotel near to Florence with car parking facility, and Hotel Villa Carlotta fitted this purpose. Nice friendly staff, clean Hotel with a good breakfast

Very nice villa, excellent & friendly staff, quiet location with easy city access. Easy to park.

Weak hair dryer and our US hair dryer with a converter still blew a fuse.

The rooms are rather in need for renovation, although nothing suggests works are planned for anytime soon. The villa building still nice (I had stayed at the hotel several years ago) but the rest of the buildings lack charm and in urgent need for refurbishment.

It was a good stay in Hotel Villa Carlotta, staff was very helpfull and nice, room was a bit small but the bed was very comfortable. You can see that the hotel is in an old building, but it has it's charm, and the stroll to the city is short and beautiful.

Lobby computer was slower than dial-up connection.

The hotel is a little too far away from the the tourist center of Florence to be described a a short walk, we found it was about 30 mins to the Ponte Vecchio. The hotel staff were not very helpful about bus services and we found them very confusing and expensive. We used taxis, most of the time.The hotel is looking tired and needs a good makeover.The staff were very friendly and spoke good english.

information by the staff was not correct.(told us the bus line nummber which does not exist any more, bus information to Siena was wrong and so on) Found the left over jacket by the former guest in a closet.

Close to the city center. Nice hotel but without a soul. For a 1 or 2 day stay it is ok.

Staff runs around like a bunch of zombies. No life in this hotel. They don't care that the tables are left with dirty plates from the day before !!!!!! Good parking for small cars, and you need to be a good driver the get in or out. i don't come back here.

Provides quiet and relaxing stay. The room was comfortable and spacy than expected. However not a lot of places to eat at walking distance. Recommend to bring drinks (water etc) before checking in.

The magnificent house, the veranda, the location

The hotel is near to the city-centre, the breakfast is fine and varied.

Parking on site free of charge. DVD player in the room and offer of films. Good breakfast.

Maybe there are also newer rooms ... but we had no luck. Actually - the room looks exactly like the photo, but the reality is not so nice ... The biggest problem is the smell, which is a combination of the smell of old unventilated space and something like a sewer - maybe the problem is old and uncleaned air conditioning. Also electrical sockets are not all fully functional. Bathroom would also need renewal - faucets no longer have a complete layer of chrome and they show brass. Local restaurants served only on the terrace (and I do not know whether there is any internal space) - the food was good, but the environment and the mood did not match. Finally - the walking distance of the city center is only theoretical - it is better to use public transport from Porta Romana.
